Overview
AVConvert is a client-side media conversion tool. All file processing happens entirely within your web browser using WebAssembly (ffmpeg.wasm). Your files are never uploaded to any server.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect, store, or transmit any files you convert.
- We do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or payment details.
- We do not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or advertising networks.
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
How Processing Works
When you select a file, it is read into your browser's memory. The FFmpeg WebAssembly module processes the file locally on your device. The converted output is generated in memory and made available for download. At no point does any file data leave your browser.
External Resources
AVConvert loads the FFmpeg WebAssembly core from third-party CDNs (unpkg.com, esm.sh) when you first initiate a conversion. These are open-source JavaScript and WebAssembly files required for the converter to function. These CDNs may log standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, user agent) according to their own privacy policies.
Cookies & Local Storage
AVConvert does not set any cookies or store data in your browser's local storage. Your conversion settings are held in memory only for the duration of your session and are discarded when you close the page.
Analytics
AVConvert does not use any analytics services. We do not track page views, conversion counts, or any other usage metrics.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new effective date. Continued use of AVConvert after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
