Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using AVConvert ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

Description of Service

AVConvert is a free, browser-based media conversion tool. It uses FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly to convert audio and video files entirely on your device. No server-side processing is involved.

Permitted Use

You may use AVConvert for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any files you process through AVConvert. We claim no rights over your input or output files. The AVConvert interface, branding, and original code are the property of the Service operator.

FFmpeg and its libraries are used under their respective open-source licenses (LGPL/GPL). The ffmpeg.wasm project is licensed under MIT.

Disclaimer of Warranties

AVConvert is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that conversions will be error-free, that output quality will meet your expectations, or that the Service will be available without interruption.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators of AVConvert shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to data loss or corruption of files.

Third-Party Services

AVConvert loads open-source libraries from third-party content delivery networks (unpkg.com, esm.sh). These services are operated independently and are subject to their own terms and policies.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator resides, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
